DescriptionA gorgeous composition of colors decorate this floor loomed huipil of white cotton with intricate blue, purple, and green decoration in the form of ducks and zigzags. The neckline is covered in maroon velvet. Despite its attractiveness to the Western eye, these are the colors of mourning in Totonicapán, and this huipil would only have been worn on a very sad occasion.
