DescriptionThis huipil is made of three panels and is beautifully decorated with a woven rose and foliage design. It is an excellent modern example of marcador, or the fine brocading of roses and flowers following a pattern. The sunburst neckline diagnostic of Chichicastenango is more subdued than in earlier huipiles, but still present.
