DescriptionThe distinctive sunburst neckline used by Chichicastenango weavers indicates where this otherwise rather unusual huipil was made. Against a white cotton background, the artist brocaded large multi-colored diamonds interspersed with flowers. She also incorporated silk rosettes at each shoulder.- Art of the Native Americas
