DescriptionThis white cotton blouse uses greens and blues to portray many small birds that represent the livestock and fertility of the region. The three panels were woven separately on a backstrap loom and joined together by the weaver, who may have written her name in blue ink at the bottom. Cotzal, Nebaj, and Chajul are culturally related villages and similarities can be seen in their weaving.- Art of the Native Americas
