    DescriptionThe daily use shirt for adult men in Todos Santos Cuchumatan is made of white cotton with orange, green, red, and blue stripes. The collar and cuffs are decorated with highly embellished cloth brocaded in bright acrylic colors popular since the 1980’s. Sometimes Maya weavers choose to include iconographic information in their work to re-emphasize its function—in this case the brocade includes images of men in hats, something a woman would never wear on her huipil.
