    DescriptionDuring this period heads show a marked cranial deformation, a practice found in Mayan cultures as well. The bench, a symbol of authority and wisdom, is associated with religious rituals and the use of hallucinogens in Andean, West Mexican and Gulf Coast Veracruz cultures.
