DescriptionThis very early shawl or possibly tzute is one of the oldest pieces in the collection. It is made of two textile panels of white cotton with simple red and green stripes. The four unusual creatures along the top may be representations of armadillos, but it is difficult to be certain.- Art of the Native Americas
