BiographyBenjamin Canas studied at the Universadad de San Salvador and the Escuela de Bellas Artes in that country. Canas had solo exhibitions at L'Istituto Latino Americano in Rome (1973) and La Maison de l'Americque-Latine in Paris (1973), and a posthumous retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art of Latin America in Washington, D.C. (1989). He participated in three Sao Paulo biennials and numerous group exhibitions throughout the Americas. His work is included in the collection of the Museo de Bellas Artes, Caracas, and the Museum of Modern Art of Latin America, Washington, D.C.
