    DescriptionThe act of pulling hair in North Coast Peruvian cultures means a loss of dignity. Generally the vanquished is shown being held by the hair. In this example, there appears to be a draw since both figures hold the hair of the other. The two figures have been jointed at the abdomen and a single spout serves both. A faint negative resist design appears as strips on the stirrup-spout, while shallow incising outlines clothing details and fingers.
