DescriptionWhile the subject of mother and child is popular the world over, it was an especially popular theme on the Northwest Coast of Mexico. These crudely modelled clay figures were produced in large numbers. Features and decorations are indicated by fillets and incisions. The short arms are typical, and hands and feet are poorly defined.
