DescriptionEgyptians included stone jars like this to hold food offerings that were included in the tomb. The Egyptians found multiple ways to convey to the next world the food they believed the deceased needed. This jar is believed to have come from the tomb of the foreign wives of Tuthmosis III, which dates to ca. 1425 BCE.
