    DescriptionAmbrotype with a family portrait consisting of an unidentified man and woman with a baby on her lap in a gutta percha union case. The inside lid of the case has an embossed purple velvet lining cushion. The front and back covers of the case have a molded design of a man holding the bridle reigns of a horse in one hand and reaching his other hand out toward a group of three people with a dog seated at their feet.
