DescriptionThis is probably from the pre-Kissi inhabitants. The practice of carving stone images seems to have ceased by the time the Portuguese arrived in the mid 15th century. This figure is in the Pomdo style, which refers to the vertically orientation, as opposed to the Namoli style with jutting horizontal head attributed to the Sapi who were pre-Portuguese inhabitants closer to the coast.
